A Guide on Using the Model

I wanted to write an article on the general basics of using the model to place bets. As mentioned a few times, the model will output unit sizes for each bet. Given everyone’s bank roll is different and it is easy to mess up the math doing it manually when there are 10+ bets, I will be linking a excel spreadsheet every week that can be customized to enter a desired bankroll. The sheet will automatically output which team the model picked, the bet selection (whether it was money line, spread, or over under), the bet amount based on inputted total bankroll desired, the potential returns, and even the actual returns which can be filled in manually. This way, it becomes much easier to both use the picks correctly, and track them if one is interested in doing that as well.

Also, I will be creating separate posts for Thursday, Monday, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon. I was not doing this previously as there was no use, the only reason I was posting the picks prior to this week was for transparency.

The Thursday and Monday picks will be scheduled for 5 pm MST Thursday and Monday. The Sunday morning picks will be scheduled for 10 am, and the Sunday afternoon/night for 12 pm (all times are MST). If there is a London game expect a Saturday night post separate for that. I have found a way to automate this whole process including the posts.

There may be weeks in which the model does not have any edges for the singular Thursday, Monday, and Sunday London games; if this is the case, there will be no post.

Each article will have a link to the excel sheets, and I will still continue posting a table listing each bet and the unit size, similar to the current setup. Stay tuned for the Week 4 picks soon!
